What Diamond Cut is right for you

The most important factor in determining how much fire, brilliance, and scintillation a diamond will display, the cut quality of a diamond is graded from Poor - Good - Very Good - Excellent - Ideal. At Numined, we only sell diamonds with Good or better-cut grades.

Diamond (Color)

Which Diamond Color is right for you

Diamond color is identified using letter grades ranging from D (Colorless) to Z (Yellow). Only D E F color diamonds are considered truly 'colorless', while G H I J color diamonds are called 'near colorless'.

Diamond (Clarity)

What Diamond Clarity is right for you

Even lab grown diamonds have naturally formed inclusions within the stone. Many of these imperfections are not even visible to the human eye, although they may be visible under 10x magnification or higher. Clarity grades from VS to IF are considered 'eye clean', an industry term used to describe stones that appear clear to the naked eye, while stones with an SI clarity grade may or may not have imperfections that are visible to the naked eye.

The actual weight of the diamond is measured in carats. Different cut shapes can have the same carat weight but appear to be different sizes on hand. Refer to the diamond's actual measurements to get a more precise idea of how large it will appear in real life.

NUMINED stands behind each product and each item is inspected prior to shipment. NUMINED's warranty covers manufacturing defects for life -- which differs than wear and tear. Please be advised that if another jeweler works on our pieces, it voids the warranty with us as we cannot be responsible for another jeweler's work.

If a setting created for a customer's existing diamond or gemstone is not set by NUMINED, the setting is non-returnable and the warranty is void.

If there is ever an issue with your jewelry item or you need a service not covered under our lifetime warranty, your item can be mailed to us for evaluation and estimation. Please Contact Us if you have any questions.

ring. We had wanted a synthetic diamond and after I looked online and in physical stores for two months (even buying a dud online and returning it), I eventually found Numined. You can see the reviews are excellent. When you walk into their shop they don't overwhelm you like some other big name stores trying to immediately sell you things, and they certainly don't ignore you. They will approach you and if you need anything they will tell you everything you need to know. Stephanie showed me ASET images of all the diamonds I wanted to see, let me look at it with her microscopes with different degrees of magnitude (I asked to see the ID Number etched onto the side of the diamond, as well as any imperfections in any diamond), go to the window and see how it looks in the sunlight and even under the desk with no light, she was incredibly helpful and patient with me. She even ordered more diamonds in my price range and specifications when I wanted to see more. I was also incredibly picky with the band that would be used and their CAD team made maybe 5 or 6 brand new band designs to try and match what I wanted. EVEN then, after I chose the band and they made it and fitted the diamond, I wanted it adjusted and they took it back and did it! I am thankful that I was able to find Numined and have Stephanie help me through the entire process. Others there also offered their help whenever they could. I couldn't be happier with them. Overall I would recommend Numined to anyone!

Bought an engagement ring here and really felt comfortable with the experience. Felt like I got a great deal and had a lot of options in terms of diamond and band availability. The best part, in my opinion, was that the person helping me choose a diamond (Shannon) had a ton of experience. She could pick up a diamond, look through the little magnifying glass thing, and tell me what inclusions she could see and her overall opinion of it. And I never felt pressured to pick something I wasn't comfortable with. She was just there as a guide and I really appreciated that.

I cannot recommend Numined enough! We were so lost when we decided to start to pick out my engagement ring. The only thing we knew was that we wanted to use lab grown diamonds (only way to certify any stone is truly conflict free) and I am so glad we found Numined. I was a little wishy washy on what design I wanted, but Shannon's friendly demeanor, good questions, and overall knowledge meant I am now wearing a ring I LOVE. She worked with my fiance within his budget, and never once did I feel pressure to choose a bigger stone or a more complex setting. Fantastic experience and service! Shannon was a great help. Knowledgeable, honest, and helpful. She helped my fiancee and I through several different styles of rings and diamonds, helping us find the one she liked the most. Pricing was reasonable, she was honest about the costs and what we were paying for. In addition, she helped us with a few offers that knocked the price down. We gave her our budget and she gave us diamond option that kept us under budget, but still with a beautiful ring. Moreover, they offer lab-grown diamonds. As pretty as normal ones, it helped us avoid the guilty worry of "did someone in Africa die for this diamond?" Their office is comfortable, clean, and elegant. As a side note, the front desk was helpful in navigating the jeweler's row to find Numined's office. We will likely be returning to them when it comes time to buy the wedding bands.

INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! This company was recommended to my fiance and I by my co-worker, who purchased his wife's engagement ring from them. We originally went in just to look, but Stephanie was an incredible hostess, very knowledgeable and patient, teaching us every step of the way. She also gave us a GREAT deal, so my fiance decided to just pay for the ring on the spot (of course, i was happy). The owner even came in and chatted with us a bit. I also appreciated that Stephanie stayed with us beyond closing time to make sure we were satisfied. Finally, after we ordered the ring and I received the specs via email I decided I wanted a different cut. Thankfully, Stephanie was receptive to my change from the original and continued to be gracious by complying with my request. In the end I received a ring that is exceptionally brilliant and sparkly. I am VERY satisfied. Everyone who sees it comments on its brilliance and jokes that the ring is 'blinding' them. I went to numerous jewelers and found that they were the most reasonable to actually help me find the most cost effective / quality diamond. I would encourage you too consider lab diamonds because it is impossible to see a difference and they are the only true eco friendly diamond. This place is your best option for lab diamonds. For the setting they worked very well with my comments and design ideas. As an architect I am picky and actually edited the design more than once and they really did a good job handling comments and getting the desired result.

Absolutely flawless (pun intended) experience! while searching for a place to buy an engagement ring for my girlfriend I saw all of the amazing reviews for this place and had to give it a try. Not knowing much about diamonds and how to pick them out I was a little intimidated by the whole process but working with Shannon has been nothing but pleasant. I made an appointment and came in that same afternoon not looking to walk out with anything and after about an hour and a half of looking at different rings and learning all about diamonds I came out with a good idea of the different options I had. I then tried to get some clues of what my girlfriend would want her ring to look like so that next time I came in I would be comfortable making a decision. The second appointment was also great and no pressure at all from Shannon, we looked at different diamonds which were at, below and above my price range and both weighted the pros and cons of each choice. I ended up going with a Numined diamond which I am very happy about because it was more bang for my buck and also makes me feel better about it being conflict free and environmentally friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend this business to any and all friends in the future.

You have to visit this place if you are in the market for Jewelry. Shannon is awesome! She was extremely helpful, knowledgable and patient as I’m a very picky person. I purchased both my fiancé’s engagement, wedding ring and my own ring from her. Absolutely Love My Ring! My fiancé made an appointment with Isaac based on a recommendation from a friend. He really wanted the proposal and ring to be a surprise, so he worked with Isaac to come up with the design. He said he felt very little pressure, because Isaac assured him that if I wanted changes, or even a completely different design, I could alter the ring after he proposed. I ended up not needing the altering (besides sizing) because the ring was absolutely perfect! Thank you!

I just received a nearly one carat diamond from NUMINED as the center stone in my gorgeous engagement ring from my wonderful future husband. The diamond from NUMINED is absolutely breathtaking. There is no discernible difference between the NUMINED lab grown diamond and a more "natural" stone (I went into my jeweler for re-sizing after receiving the ring and she showed me natural versus NUMINED diamonds to illustrate). Seriously. I would have had no idea. Not only is the quality spectacular but buying a NUMINED diamond allowed my fiance to get a larger carat stone at a more cost effective price without sacrificing any quality. Plus, you are assured that the diamond is conflict free. I am beyond thrilled and could not give a higher recommendation!

I cannot say enough about my positive experience with Numined. Like most guys, I did my homework and research before settling on a store, including looking at these reviews. My extensive research lead me to Dimend Scaasi/Numined (Isaac, the owner, runs both stores). From the moment that I walked into their modern, tasteful showroom, I was impressed. My girlfriend (now fiancé!) and I met with Isaac for over an hour. It is a testament to his business model that the owner of the store dedicated such a generous portion of his time answering our questions and learning our preferences. He utilizes the latest technology to demonstrate diamond performance--in layman's terms, the sparkle. I never felt pressured or like I was being upsold. He presented a variety of options, both natural diamonds and lab-grown diamonds. Seriously go to Numined's website and educate yourself about lab grown diamonds. They are chemically, structurally and visually the exact same as natural diamonds, but are typically more affordable. The wonders of modern technology now allows guys to buy a bigger rock without breaking the bank. After the initial consult with my girlfriend regarding the setting/style, I went back to walk through diamond options/complete the purchase with Isaac. Let me tell you, when I picked up my ring, it did not disappoint. My fiancé loves the ring and has received an outpouring of compliments and even a little jealousy from her engaged friends. The ring truly does radiate. After being referred to the store by one of my best friends (who had recently gotten married), I purchased a custom engagement ring from dimend SCAASI in August 2015. My fiancé and I are extremely happy with our purchase. The ring turned out absolutely fantastic and we have received countless complements on it from family and friends. Most notably, my fiancé's mother and my mother were both thrilled with it (and that is no small feat to accomplish!). I also truly appreciated the approach that our salesperson (Stephanie) took in helping us arrive at a decision on the design and diamond. Both my fiancé and I are somewhat indecisive, but Stephanie did an excellent job at making a difficult and important decision seem easy. When I first came into the store, I was almost completely clueless about how to shop for diamonds. But, they did a fantastic job at helping me understand the key factors to take into consideration and which characteristics mattered most (and, they did so in an very efficient manner, which was incredibly helpful to me given the time demands involved with my profession). I would also note that they took a very "no-pressure" approach to the sales process. They helped me figure out quite quickly how to get the "best bang for my buck" and were able to accommodate a budget with a fairly wide range. When we started shopping for an engagement ring, we thought, “What better place to start than Jewelers’ Row, right?” But after stopping into several storefronts on Wabash, we were left feeling dirty, violated, and more confused than ever. Everyone was high pressure, trying to play on our emotions rather than common sense, and more interested in making a fast sale than answering our questions. Then we happened to wander in to Dimend Scaasi/Numined Diamonds. Even though we didn’t have an appointment, they took the time to answer our questions and show us a few selections. We were pleased with the experience, but were overwhelmed from our prior shopping experiences, so we needed time to going home and think about it a while. But after sleeping on it, we decided to make an appointment to go back and talk to Isaac and his team again. Shopping with Isaac was a great experience. He took the time to get to know us and find out what we wanted. He educated us on the science behind diamonds and diamond cutting (which appealed to my engineer fiancé). He showed us diamonds under the AGS ASET Scope to show us the difference between good cuts and less stellar cuts. He showed us how any diamond can sparkle under bright lights (like those used at the other places on Wabash), but good diamonds sparkle even in the dark. And how smaller well-cut diamonds look bigger than larger badly-cut diamonds. We liked the idea of the Numined lab-grown diamonds versus mined diamonds. Lab-grown diamonds are chemically the same as mined diamonds, unlike CZ or moissanite. Not only are the Numined diamonds completely North American sourced (grown in US, cut in Canada) and devoid of the social issues associated with diamonds mined overseas, they also tend to have better faceted cuts as compared to mined diamonds. Coupled with the fact that we could get a much higher quality lab-grown diamond for the same price as a lower quality mined diamond… we were sold. My diamond truly sparkles! They have a wide selection of settings, and can custom make settings to your specifications. We chose a Gelin Abaci tension setting, which is made in California, custom-made to fit the diamond we selected. This may have taken a bit longer, but the final result was exactly what we wanted, and well worth the wait. Stephanie and Shannon were very helpful during the ordering and delivery process, and kept us advised on the timeline. They were in frequent contact with us regarding the status, and the final ring was actually delivered before promised deadline. We definitely plan to visit Isaac and team again when we are ready to purchase our wedding bands.

I bought an engagement ring here and had a good experience. I felt the place is more casual and less pushy than some of the other jewelry stores and delivered a good product in the end that I'm happy with.
